Ra\u00fal Miguel is one of the most complete and versatile musicians in the musical panorama of our country.<\/p>\n

Awarded with the 2nd prize of the London International Conducting Competition, organized by the London<\/strong> Classical Soloist Orchestra (2015). His training as a conductor has gone hand in hand with the prestigious conductor George Pehlivanian. <\/p>\n

Outstanding trumpet player, student of Mart\u00edn Baeza and Jos\u00e9 Maria Ort\u00ed, he has participated with a scholarship in the first Puebla Instrumenta meeting in Mexico, collaborating with the Festival Orchestra and with the brass ensemble German Brass. He has been first trumpet of several orchestras, among them: Joven Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica Fundaci\u00f3n Coca-Cola and Orquestas de C\u00e1mara, Sinf\u00f3nica y de M\u00fasica Contempor\u00e1nea del Real Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Madrid, Filarm\u00f3nica de Madrid and Orquesta Filarmon\u00eda de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

As a trumpet player he has collaborated with Orchestras and Ensembles such as the Orquesta Nacional de Espa\u00f1a, Orquesta de c\u00e1mara Reina Sof\u00eda, Orquesta Staatskapelle de Berl\u00edn, Deuscht Oper, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Fil\u00e1rmonica Arturo Toscanini, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Berl\u00edn, Proyecto Guerrero, Camara XXI, under the direction of maestros such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Christian Thielemann, Marc Minosky, Rafael Fruebech de Burgos, George Pehlivanian, Eliau Inbal, etc.<\/p>\n

He has made numerous collaborations with different artists, including the recording of “Historia del Soldado” by Igor Stravinsky with Paquito D’Rivera, with which they have been awarded a Latin Grammy for best classical music album.<\/p>\n

He has worked and recorded with musicians such as Paquito D’Rivera, Jerry Gonzalez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Maelo Ruiz, Tito Nieves, Tito Rojas, La India, Melendi, el Barrio, Rocio Jurado, the National Jazz Orchestra, the CMQ, Bob Sand Big Band, Bobby Martinez, Pepe Rivero Big Band, Gran Canaria Big Band, Miguel Blanco Big Band, La Afrodisian Big Band, etc. <\/p>\n

He has conducted numerous ensembles, including London Classical Soloists, Ho Chi Min City Ballet and Oper Orchestra (Vietnam), Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de la ESMUC, Orquesta de Extremadura, Orquesta de Tenerife, ADDA Simf\u00f3nica, Orquesta Nacional de Cuba, Orquesta Nacional de Guatemala, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de UAEH, Joven Camerata del Salvador, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica Juvenil de UAA-UAZ, Banda Sinf\u00f3nica de Zacatecas (Mexico), Banda Sinf\u00f3nica Complutense de Alcal\u00e1 de Henares, Banda de Conciertos de San Jos\u00e9 (Costa Rica), Banda de conciertos de Heredia, European Soloists Orchestra, the Almansa Festival Orchestra, Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra (Russia), Orquesta de Camerata de Castilla la Mancha, as assistant conductor in the JONDE, JORCAM (Brass and Percussion Group). <\/p>\n

He has conducted soloists of the stature of Reinhold Friedrich, Manuel Blanco, James Ackley, Aquiles Machado, Pilar Jurado, Eriko Takezawa, Marco Garc\u00eda Vaquero, Sebastian Gil, Yturvides Vilchez, Rub\u00e9n Simeo, Rafael Aguirre, Giovani Scarpeta, among others.<\/p>\n

His concern for a humanistic education led him to pursue doctoral studies at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid. With the highest grades and \u201cCUM LAUDEN<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

He is currently director of MIT JAZZ (M\u00e9rida International Jazz Festival), Member of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain<\/strong> and professor at the Esteb\u00e1n S\u00e1nchez Conservatory in M\u00e9rida.<\/strong><\/p>\n
